Japan is fascinated by our Royal Family. Every few weeks I am asked by one of their TV channels to update them on what is happening in the UK. Their key interest at the moment is Harry and Meghan and who can blame them. They can’t quite believe their behaviour towards the senior royals is so, well, rude. No one would behave like that to their royal family they tell me.
They really honor their elders! To shame their families would be, what do the Japanese call it, not to lose face , I can’t remember?? To disgrace royalty…. A big fat no!!
Great insights! I guess the gaps might be the time it takes to finish translating what you’ve just said. It also happens on French TV. You should ask them to send you the questions before the interview to make sure there is no misunderstanding.
